Memory Garden

The Memory Garden is located either side of the footpath between Church and North Roads. This land belongs to St Martin’s Church and was an area of rough grass and weeds.

The Chavey Down Association offered to turn this into a garden area and over the past few years have transformed this with the help of a number of volunteers and donations of plants and shrubs.

A number of the plants have been donated to improve the garden but some plants and shrubs have been planted in memory of past villagers.

If you would like to contribute a plant or shrub, or donate one in someone’s memory, please contact the Chavey Down Association committee or email chaveydownassoc@yahoo.com.

All donations are recorded in our Memory Garden book which is held by our Secretary and is also available to view at any of the AGMs.
